A Little About Us.....

We’re excited to have you join us as we launch Gardner-Designs. Years ago we dreamed of sharing our love of quilting and fabric; today that dream is real. The website is live, the fabric is arriving, and we’re officially open!

Getting here took time—building our website and curating fabrics. As a multi-generational team with varied tastes, we’ve chosen a mix of styles and prints that reflect who we are and what we’re excited to share with you.

Our quilting story begins with my grandma, Minnie, who taught me to quilt when I was young. She could turn a wild mix of fabrics—scraps, sale finds, and the occasional new favorite—into quilts full of meaning. Minnie stitched a little piece of herself into every quilt: her love of quilting and her love for the people around her. I’m grateful she taught me, and we’ve carried that love of quilting into our family and beyond. Today, we’re honored to share her (and our) love of quilting through Gardner-Designs.

Minnie’s influence runs through five generations of quilters in our family. To honor her, we’re introducing two specialty quilt kits designed to share with a partner—your best friend, sister, mom, or a child (a future quilter!).

Grandma and Me: pairs easy blocks for a beginner with more intricate blocks for an experienced quilter—so you can make one quilt together. It was inspired by my granddaughter when she was six and wanted to piece a quilt together with me. We needed blocks she could sew by hand or machine, plus a design that delivered the finished look she envisioned.

Quilting Across the Miles: is a two-part pattern for quilting partners in different locations: one person pieces Block 1 while the other pieces Block 2, then the blocks come together to complete the quilt. We can ship the full kit to one address or send each part to two different addresses.
